They live in large flocks and can sometimes be seen walking down the road in a group. A flock will gather together in tall trees to roost at dusk. Tree hollows are used to for their nesting sites which they line with eucalyptus leaves. Another name used for rost-breasted cockatoos (more often in Austrailia) is "Galah".

They rarely make large volume sounds and if so not for very long. When they talk they can annunciate very clearly. Rose-breasted cockatoos love to touch and love to be touched. Many of my rosies like to gently run their beaks up and down my cheek or hand as a way of affection.

Rose-breasted cockatoos are different than other cockatoos and their diet needs to be appropriate for them. Rose-breasted cockatoos can get fatty tumors if not fed correctly. We feed parakeet seed, some pellets, fruits, vegetables, greens, a few grains and vitamins.
